Julian Assange background story, who is this man?

Reuters have been a high profile newssource since I can remember. They lost two people in Iraq, when a US helicopter gunned down random people around a van. The Washington based news agency has tried and failed to get the footage for two years under the freedom of information act. Wikileaks got it and published it....coverage by Reuters Press Agency...read article>

More and more I am getting interested in the man Julian Assange. This article by Mark Hosenball gives us a good insight in the life of the man that started the war for the truth. An amazing history, that explains his intelligence as well as his natural wearyness versus governments, burocrats and justice systems.
As a footnote I want to remind you how the "news" is probably today's most important weapon in any war.
In that light it is a stunning coincidence that we are hearing about the (failed) suicide-bombing in stockholm, links are drawn to the UK. Today the news in the netherlands is all about a child-molester, that has apparently been active for years, and was caught through pictures found in a US child-porn case. The police and the government are falling over each other to explain to us how dangerous the internet is, and how they need to change focus.
I am not joking, this is cyberwar,...information war. Look out who you defend!!!!
