Rape? Now you can judge yourself by reading the police files.

I have been wondering what to believe about these allegations of rape, that Julian Assange is wanted for in Sweden. Real investigative journalism by The Guardian provided them with the illegally obtained (stolen?) nasty details of the allegations as they are found in police material.*edit - I later found out that the papers were leaked to them, and Assange claims that the way it was represented was wrong, and part of a smear campaign.-*
After Reading the article I would say, in plain english it boils down to the story of a man who is in the spotlight, interesting, intelligent, and with money in his pocket. To certain young women that can be a turn-on. From what I read it doesn't appear to be the sort of conspiracy that many people think it is. more...

To me in short the story looks like this: Young woman,"Miss A" who arranged Julian Assanges trip in Sweden,  offers him to stay in her flat since she would be out of town anyway. Then she returns early and the two get it on in bed. Whatever happened, like it happens a lot, the condom ripped during the sex. She gets all nervous and takes the morning after pill. Then the next day her friend, "Miss W" wants to be invited to a lunch with Assange and some people of the swedish wikileaks group. After the lunch this woman takes Assange out to the cinema where they have been making out on the back seat. that evening miss A has a party for Assange in her flat, and tells her friends about the sex they had, and the ripped condom.

Assange slept in the flat, not with miss A according to her. The next day Assange was invited to stay the night at the appartment of miss W, who apparently wanted to see more of him. Again it seems Assange like many men I know didn't like to have sex with a condom (quite stupid if you ask me, but yeah) so nothing happened at first, but later he seems to have agreed to wear one, and they did have sex.\
To cut the rest of the story short, miss A found out that Assange had been sleeping with her friend, and got angry, and started phoning around. After being psyched up by her friends and failing to push Assange to do a test, she turned to the police to have them force Assange to do the test. The police obviously are not enclined to do errands like that, and told her to take it to court if she wanted to force something.
Then her friends started advising her to take the matter to the press, which could land her a good deal of cash as a bonus.
The court dismissed the case after hearing all parties concerned.
So far this is no more then a soap-series episode.
Now here's where I think the conspiracy comes in. Weeks later a senior Swedish politician called another prosecutor and told him to take the case and pursue it. We know what happened after, Assange being placed on Interpols most wanted criminals list, the extradition request and the way the british court handled this affair makes me say"pursue with a vengeange"
Knowing what we now know because of wikileaks, the Swedish government has in the recent past changed all kinds of laws on the US request. Laws that protect the financial interest of American companies, and give the government a lot of power over the internet.
So if you want to see the conspiracy, in my eyes that is where it is. Plainly and simple, the US want full control over the internet and anything that happens on it. And anybody that is telling the world how they do that is being silenced. Business as usual. Why would the US have so many secrets and confidentialities?
